Of course, there’s an after-credits scene in Guardians of the Galaxy, and I enjoyed it as much as the other times Marvel films have shown them. I got an iPad around a year ago, and it’s quickly become my most used and beloved console yet. Although I assume I’ll continue to be a fan of Nintendo for whatever reasons, using the iPad has opened up a whole new world for me, and it feels as wonderful as a magic carpet ride. From the 69p Angry Birds games to the premium Square games, I’ve found tons of games to get busy with, and I know I’ve barely scratched the surface for what the platform has to offer. Therefore, indulge me for a moment, as I list the many different iOS games that I’ve loved, with a key factor being how they offer something unique to the platform.
So here’s the list! There’s no order, because the list of games I played is a big one, way over 30 games, I think! Hope you enjoy!

I watched a lot of films this year. From dramatic musicals like Les Miserables to action blockbusters like Man of Steel, there were plenty of impressive moments to behold this year. Although I was disappointed by some anticipated releases, there were enough films I enjoyed to come up with a top ten list, and I believe it fully encapsulates what I loved most about the year. Here are the films that made the biggest impression on me, and rocked my socks off with either their general awesomeness, or brilliant film-making. Some films were released in 2012 in the US, but 2013 in UK, so keep that in mind for some of them. On we go!
Please note: There were a few films I didn’t watch at the time of writing, which may end up on the list at some point. This includes films like Walter Mitty, Frozen, Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug, most of this season’s Oscar films, or Anchorman 2, so this list may not be exactly the same when the year is over.
(Edit: The only films I think would be included are Frozen and The Hobbit, although the Hobbit would probably be lower down on the list, while Frozen would at least be in the top five.)
I’ve been a big fan of the Marvel Studios films, with one of my particular favourites being Captain America: The First Avenger. A period War film that happened to have superheroes in it, it served as the best possible introduction to the concept of Captain America, from his role as a figurehead in World War 2, and also a potentially retro approach to modern superheroes. As such, I’ve been looking forward to this continuation of the story of Captain America for a while, and the film promising a new interpretation of what Superhero films can do. Does this film live up to the greatness of the Avengers films, as well as the other recent Marvel superhero films? Can the film at the very least be better than Man of Steel? That’s not hard. Still, is this film good? Read on!
(Note: Near the end of this review, I give my thoughts on the final mid-credits and post-credits bonus scenes that Marvel is now famous for including in all their films, so watch out for that if you don’t want that spoilt. I give amble warning for it though, so don’t expect any spoilers in the review itself.)
