Who likes talking about video-games? There have been several films based on games, as well as films based on the concepts and ideas behind video-games. Examples such as Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World and Sucker Punch have given us new interpretations of the numerous tropes behind what was previously an interactive adventure. With ‘Stay Alive’, we’re shown what happens when a horror game bleeds into real life. There are games such as ‘Silent Hill’ and ‘Eternal Darkness’ that managed to utilise horror tropes in an interactive context, and they were awesome. How successful is it at replicating the terrifying nature of the best horror video-games?

Adam’s Favourite iPad Games – Revisited

(Note: This article originally featured on my first attempt at a WordPress blog, and I’m restoring it here! Also, there are five new entries that I recently discovered, they’re gonna be at the end of the article!)

I got an iPad around a year ago, and it’s quickly become my most used and beloved console yet. Although I assume I’ll continue to be a fan of Nintendo for whatever reasons, using the iPad has opened up a whole new world for me, and it feels as wonderful as a magic carpet ride. From the 69p Angry Birds games to the premium Square games, I’ve found tons of games to get busy with, and I know I’ve barely scratched the surface for what the platform has to offer. Therefore, indulge me for a moment, as I list the many different iOS games that I’ve loved, with a key factor being how they offer something unique to the platform.

So here’s the list! There’s no order, because the list of games I played is a big one, way over 30 games, I think! Hope you enjoy!

Top Ten: Nintendo Games that would work on iOS/Android Devices

For the last few weeks, rumours have circulated around Nintendo possibly spreading out to Tablet development, whether on iOS devices or Android. This has lead to people either demanding such a thing happen immediately, or talking about how impossible and terrible it would be for everyone involved. However, when I first heard the rumours that Nintendo were going at least dabble in the world of touch-screens, I figured that it would be a great fit. Nintendo are famous for being the great innovators of the industry, and what they could bring to the table as far as great touch-screen based games has already been proven with the success of the Nintendo DS. Therefore, I decided to think of all the games they’ve already made that would make a successful transition to smart phones and tablets, and how they’d offer something not usually seen in the app market.
